New Delhi: In a significant push towards local innovation and manufacturing, Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) has launched its first India-designed and India-made Honeywell CCTV camera portfolio, the 50 Series, under its flagship security solutions category.

This marks a pivotal moment for Honeywell, introducing a fully indigenous Honeywell CCTV Camera lineup engineered for intelligent surveillance and enterprise-grade cybersecurity.

Aligned with the Indian government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the Honeywell 50 Series CCTV cameras are Class 1 certified – the highest level under the ‘Make in India’ policy.

Designed at Honeywell’s global development center in Bengaluru and manufactured in partnership with VVDN Technologies, the cameras reflect Honeywell’s deep local R&D strength and strong manufacturing collaboration within India.

“This launch reaffirms our commitment to India’s innovation-led growth and our mission to provide intelligent, secure, and locally relevant solutions,” said Vimal Kapur, CEO and Chairman, Honeywell.

The 50 Series cameras integrate AI-powered video analytics, gyro-based image stabilization, enhanced imaging technology, and robust cybersecurity to meet the needs of high-stakes sectors such as government, healthcare, education, transportation, real estate, and commercial infrastructure.

The Honeywell CCTV camera portfolio features multiple models in 3MP and 5MP resolutions, available in both dome and bullet formats.

This strategic addition strengthens Honeywell’s global security technology offering, building on its 2024 acquisition of Carrier’s Global Access Solutions business including LenelS2.

With the 50 Series now part of its product suite, Honeywell emerges as a full-spectrum Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for comprehensive electronic security requirements across industry verticals.

“These ‘Made in India’ CCTVs are a great step toward building India into a product nation,” said Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics & IT, during a meeting with Honeywell leadership in New Delhi.

Honeywell’s India-first innovation demonstrates its ability to address regional demand with tailored, high-performance surveillance systems and strengthens its leadership in the security technology domain.
